Original musical instruments were produced since 1887 in the ancient merchant town of Shuya on the river Teze. Shuya accordions are especially famous. The craft developed on the basis of handicraft workshops. Vienna single-line and
double- line models of accordions, reconstructed in a Russian way, were first produced by the masters.In manufacture at masters.Gradually, after small improvements, adopting each others most successful technical decisions, accordion masters created a double- line diatonic accordion "Khromka".
"Khromka" differs from Vienna by sound pitch not depending on the direction of movement of bellows and by that the process of playing has considerably become simpler. On the boundary of XIX and XX centuries this design of accordion already dominated over all territory of Russia. In all centers of accordion manufacturing the process of improvement of "Khromka" and its adjustment under certain conditions began.
