     In the city of Privolzhsk of Ivanovo district, not far from picturesque banks of the Volga, on the way to " the Gold ring ", there is one of the unique jewellery enterprises of Russia - Privolzhsky jewellery factory " Krasnaya Presnya ". Individual workers had long ago practiced jewellery craft in this region. From their association in 1930 artel "Krasnaya Presnya" was formed and in 1973 it is renamed into a factory. From the beginning of the origin and to this day the factory specializes on release of ornaments from silver and cupronickel with cut crystal glass. Color glass,as a result of a manual facet and polishing, acquires in the skilful hands of jewellers a variety of forms and colors, from colorless crystal with sparkling sides to opaque stones and beads imitating coral, turquoise, and greenstone.
Alongside with cut glass ornaments with enamel, corundums, phianits, amber, ornamental stones, and without inserts with application of multi-colored enamels are also produced.
Now Privolzhsky jewellery factory "Krasnaya Presnya" is a well developed jewellery manufacture having modern equipment where in a combination with the mechanized techniques traditional manual labor is widely used.
As a decoration of cupronickel and silver jewellery galvanic gilding and silvering with oxidant and polishing is used. Firmness and durability of galvanic coverings is a prominent feature of production of the factory, attracting buyers.
The production of the factory is distinguish by high quality, refined composite completeness, magnificent light of multi-colored inserts and skill of performance.
Jewellery keeps the best traditions of the past and makes the unique music of metal and a glass sound in a modern way. Phianits, corundums, multi-colored crystal, enamel give to ornaments from metal gallantry and nobleness even to a daily dress. The strict beauty of line keeps the individuality of each product that will undoubtedly satisfy any taste of the customer. Ring or ear-rings, brooch or pendent, a bracelet or a necklace, hairpins or a medallion from metal with color crystal, corundum or phianite bring accents of modern and classical fashion to women dress. They are well-known and are in demand not only at domestic, but also foreign customers.
Now the factory releases more than 250 kinds of ornament from cupronickel and 160 kinds from silver of 925 carats. They are constantly added with new developments of creative collective of artists. Their authentic works, and also production of the factory were exhibited at international and domestic exhibitions and were marked by awards and diplomas not once.
Ryapolovskaya weaving factory

    It is created on the basis of artel "Zavievy Ilyicha", based in 1924 as a result of reorganization of "varnia" - private enterprise of manual jakkard weaving where the boiling of thin, so-called Dutch, cloth was made
Jakkard wooden machines have appeared in Ryapolovo in the second half of XIX century then the manufacture of special flax table cloths of first-rate quality has been adjusted. In 1923 at the All-Russia handicraft exhibition in Moscow the high quality Ryapolovsky products has been marked. In the 30-40s the factory releases flax and half flex jakkard table cloths and blankets, and also coupon fabrics for man's shirts and summer female dresses from linen, cotton and viscose yarn. At the common high technical quality of products of Repolovsky factory of this period the basic part of it was developed according to old drawings of the beginning of XX century in "modernist style. New drawings were frequently not very artistic as the factory had no constant qualified artist. Since the 50s the work of the factory is connected with creativity of artist T.A.Isaeva who from 1951 till 1958 works there constantly, and from 1961 to 1970 - as an employee NIIHP and periodically helps the factory in development of new assortment of products and in definition of its art orientation. The main feature of Ryapolov weaving factory which singles it out from a lot of other enterprises of jakkard weaving is that connection with Russian folk art is clearly seen in the products. So, Ryapolov jakkard table cloths and napkins of the last years (artist T.A.Isaeva) remind with their character of ornamentals and folk techniques of the execution North-Russian old table cloths("stoleshniky").Unique exhibition products such as curtain "Cities - heroes", and also a series of souvenir-gift products in technics of jakkard weaving with the manual embroidery of authors T.A.Isaeva and L.I.Karmanova (1967-1968) have been executed at the factory. Ryapolovsky products from pure flax with the use of techniques of folk weaving, produced in small series, have high art quality. Alongside with highly artistic small series products the factory produces massively cotton blankets, half flax tablecloths and curtain fabrics.
Since 1960 gradual transition of Ryapolovskaya weaving factory to release of weaven products made after patens of folk weaving on mechanical jakkard machines is carried out.
Three manual jakkard machines were left in the factory for producing of small series articles of high artistic quality with the use of folk weaving techniques.
    The art of Puchezh embroidery formed during many centuries. There were stitched artels in some parts of Russia, and every artel has its own artistic hand (Artel – cooperative association of workmen). Puchezh stitched embroidery has its own stylistic peculiarities making it different from the embroideries of other areas. It is distinguished by special ornamental patterns and by diversity of techniques. There such design techniques as embroidery, the white stitch with colorful outline, narrow and wide drawn-thread works, painting, "cutouts", white loose satin-stitch. Today three Puchezh enterprises are engaged in stitched embroidery. They are the closed corporation Istoki, Naris, Ltd and Rishelje, Ltd.
    They use techniques of old Puchezh craftsmen. These enterprises make garments of gray-state fabric, white linen, cotton fabric, crêpe-chiffon, crêpe-satin, crêpe-sateen, "soaked silk".

    ÀÎ Original musical instruments were produced since 1887 in the ancient merchant town of Shuya on the river Teze. Shuya accordions are especially famous. The craft developed on the basis of handicraft workshops. Vienna single-line and double- line models of accordions, reconstructed in a Russian way, were first produced by the masters.In manufacture at masters.Gradually, after small improvements, adopting each others most successful technical decisions, accordion masters created a double- line diatonic accordion "Khromka".
"Khromka" differs from Vienna by sound pitch not depending on the direction of movement of bellows and by that the process of playing has considerably become simpler. On the boundary of XIX and XX centuries this design of accordion already dominated over all territory of Russia. In all centers of accordion manufacturing the process of improvement of "Khromka" and its adjustment under certain conditions began.

    ÎÎÎThe traditional enterprise of national art crafts. The factory specializes on release of lady's wear and products for decoration of interior, made from linen, silk and cotton fabrics which have been made from the most thin manual and machine embroidery in traditions of Shuya ancient sewing.
The first mentions about Shuysky embroidery artels refer to 1934 then the artel was uniting 12 individual workers. In 1940 there were already 125 persons in it. Work at home was also used at this time besides collective labor. In those years the workers Shuysky artel used the stitch which was brilliantly performed. Significant expansion and development of stitch- embroidery skill began since 1943. The 50s have been marked by introduction of many new techniques of embroidery such as "rishelie".The skilled workers of Shuya were singled out by different masterful techniques high quality of work. Following the traditions of Ivanovo decorative art of embroidery, preservation of patterns and methods of ancient sewing, a high level of skill have provided to Shuisky craft economic stability and creative individuality. Second half of the 60s years is marked by reorganization of Shuysky artel into Shuysky stitch-embroidery factory, moving to the new building where all technological process was united. Factory's production becomes various with compulsory preservation of traditional embroidery techniques (stitch, chain- stitch and embroidery in traditions of Russian white satin-stitch).
The creative collective of the enterprise carefully preserves of Shuysky rich traditions of stitch-embroidery production, constantly improving it. The products of the factory are the refined, they are marked by rich skill of embroidery and variety of techniques of its performance in a combination of manual, machine and chain-stitch embroideries. Now the enterprise works on natural linen, silk and cotton fabrics much.
The factory produces various complete sets of lady's wear, dresses, blouses, suits, skirts, sundresses, jackets, waistcoats, shirts day time and night, scarfs and decorative shawles, table linen and linen, products for decoration of interior, a shirts.
Production of the enterprise is recognizable,people love it for high quality of performance, individuality, traditional character and perfection.

Verkhny Landekh stitch-embroidery factory

    It is created on the base of Verkhny Landekhs stitch artel based in 1928. It produces linen and table linen with manual and machine embroidery (a white stitch, a white satin stitch and chain stitch). Before the revolution Verkhny Landekh was the center of Ivanovo's embroidery craft. After October the skilled workers working earlier for merchant Yeliseyev, were united in a cooperative artel.The teacher V.N.Speranskaja became the first chairman of this artel. The artel produced bed sheets, towels, pillowcases, cloths embroidered with a white stitch. Patterns were distinguished by simplicity and laconic forms. They were made of geometrical or floral motives. Products of Verkhny Landekh masters were always famous by faultless technical performance of embroidery.
